About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our team in Terrace, BC

As a key part of the leadership and management team, you will oversee all aspects of log supply and Woodlands operations to meet resource management and business objectives while achieving compliance with safety, environmental, and other regulatory or legal requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating the daily woodlands operations, focusing on maintaining and optimizing the log flow to the mill
  • Ensure operations are conducted safely and to high environmental standards
  • Managing and directing log supply sourcing and procurement
  • Overseeing all phases of timber development
  • Administrating and managing contracts with a focus on cost, quality, and productivity
  • Coordinating, planning, and scheduling production to achieve log delivery, inventory, and sales targets
  • Assisting with the preparation and implementation of annual operating plans, budgets, and delivery forecasts

In order to qualify for this role, you must be registered, or eligible to register, as an RPF or RFT with the Association of BC Forest Professionals and have a minimum of 5 years of operational and planning experience

You will be a good fit for this role if you have demonstrated safety leadership skills with the ability to identify and reduce risk throughout company operations. Strong organizational and communication skills are a must, as is the ability to work independently.
