About the Opportunity
If you're dynamic 'go getter', committed to producing an outstanding level of work, Universal Industries is seeking a talented Estimator to join their growing team in Lloydminster.
Reporting to the Senior Estimator, the primary purpose of the role is to analyze costs and prepare estimates on prospective mechanical construction projects.
Some of the specific responsibilities of this role will include:
- Providing technical support and services in the planning, estimating, and measuring of work;
- Preparing accurate estimates and budgets;
- Developing cost summaries, exceptions lists, and price schedules;
- Liaising with customers and vendors;
- Coordinating with estimators and sales from other offices during process of bid; and
- Identifying critical issues that may impact costs.
To be successful in this role, you will have graduated from an engineering technology program or have an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
Having several years experience with tanks, pressure vessels, and piping will be a valuable asset. Ideally, you are proficient with Microsoft Office and are familiar with MS Projects.
Universal Industries is interested in receiving applications from enthusiastic team players, who have an exceptional mechanical and mathematical aptitude with strong attention to detail. In addition, you will also have the ability to read and understand drawings and P&IDs. Having excellent organizational skills and strong written and oral communication skills is required.
