About the Opportunity

Amgen Canada is seeking a driven and experienced Patient Access Manager to join their multi-faceted team.

Reporting to the Market Access Private Insurance Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for the development and execution of programs to support and facilitate individual patient access to commercially available Amgen products across Canada.

More specifically, the successful candidate will:

  • Develop customer/patient materials to support reimbursement programs;
  • Participate in negotiation of contracts with vendors pertaining to reimbursement programs;
  • Manage ongoing relationships with vendors;
  • Route and problem solve relating to incoming individual patient reimbursement issues;
  • Coordinate training related to reimbursement programs;
  • Monitor and report on the performance of reimbursement programs, objectives, and targets;
  • Perform ongoing review and optimization of reimbursement programs; and
  • Liaise with SBRs on individual patient access issues.


The successful candidate will have a University Degree in a health/science discipline and have extensive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.  Having a comprehensive understanding of private and public reimbursement for drug/biotech products is required.

In addition, you will have proven budget, program, and vendor relationship management experience.  You will be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Being bilingual in French and English will be an asset.

Flexible work schedules will be considered, "CORE hours" that must be worked are 10am to 3pm and flex hours are applied for and require approval.  This is a business casual environment with casual Fridays.
