About the Organization

TS Signs Ltd. started in a small house basement over 25 years ago and now they have grown to over 20 employees. They are a well-established and recognized business in Fort McMurray and were awarded the 2005 Small Business of the Year Award. TS Signs is a marketing business offering Signs, Printing & Promotional items to businesses, corporations and teams in the Fort McMurray area. 

Their purpose is to tailor their clients’ needs into distinctive identities that provide landmarks, safety and communication within their community. In the past TS Signs operated at three separate locations as a sign shop, printing shop, and promotional business. Since that time they have merged all three businesses, branded under one name “TS Signs Printing and Promo Ltd.”  TS Signs' vision is to be the most convenient retailer and on-line provider of signs, printing and promotional products in their community.

About Fort McMurray

Fort McMurray is in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB), stretching from north central Alberta to the borders of Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories. About the Opportunity

TS Signs is currently offering a dynamic, experienced Sales Manager the chance to join their team based in Fort McMurray.

The successful candidate will prepare and implement strategic plans, and manage a sales team to achieve and continue established growth.

More specifically some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting and exceeding agreed KPIs and sales targets;
  • Mentoring the sales team and occasionally going out in the field;
  • Attending sales meetings, training staff, developing targets, marketing, and public relations;
  • Participation in trade shows;
  • Identifying new market opportunities; and
  • Assisting in product development.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated extensive experience working in a high-volume sales environment, with a proven ability to meet and exceed targets.  Experience within, or related to, the signage industry is preferred, but is not essential. Candidates with a manufacturing, promotional, display or print industry background may be suitable. This is a technical role so you will need to learn about the product, industry, and installation.

Previous management experience is required as you will have the proven ability to lead and supervise a sales team of 5 or more in size.  To achieve your goals within your sales team, your demonstrated communication and leadership skills, business acumen with a strong customer focus, strong organizational skills, and personal drive with a strong team focus will be evident.   We are looking for a leader that has effectively grown sales teams while focused on team building, allowing them to excel.

You will need to be a confident, personable and well presented communicator, with a well developed ability to deal effectively with clients and internal staff. Your excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills will allow you to build and maintain supportive relationships with key business contacts across a variety of corporate cultures. 

Your core working hours are from 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

About the Benefits

A generous remuneration package of $65,000 will be provided to the successful candidate, but this can be enhanced through the sales incentives available to those who make it happen.  You will receive a percentage of sales over and above meeting targets, giving you the opportunity to earn at least $75,000 - $80,000 and beyond!

In addition to your remuneration package, TS Signs offer their employees the following fantastic benefits:
