About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced Master Electrician looking to take the next step in your career?
A division of the Casman Group of Companies, RCI Electrical Service Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and talented Residential and Commercial Manager to lead their electrical projects in Fort McMurray.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this pivotal role performs administrative and supervisory work in planning, organizing, and directing the activities of a construction unit of skilled, multi-disciplined personnel.
More specifically, some of your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Directing, scheduling, and planning the construction projects;
- Providing long term and short term planning to protect the assets of the corporation and provide a reasonable return on investment;
- Meeting annual goals that are predetermined by the General Manager;
- Establishing short and long term goals and coordinates activities to achieve them;
- Organizing a management system that will provide a successful, highly productive work force;
- Providing direction and evaluation for equipment maintenance, capital expenditures, and staffing needs;
- Managing a successful team and promoting a supportive team culture;
- Ensuring that electrical staff are aware of safety issues and use safe work practices so that OH&S performance is maintained at a high level and well within the limits expected;
- Providing and executing Sales and Marketing plans to achieve sales goals; and
- Interacting daily with subordinates and supervisor, as well as vendors and customers.
To be successful in this role, you will be a Master Electrician with at least ten years residential or commercial experience, or have a combination of training, education, and experience. RCI Electrical is seeking a proven manager that is capable of managing and organizing multiple high priority projects.
Importantly, you will possess outstanding client relationship abilities and have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. You are a natural leader with strong people-management abilities. Having well developed oral and written communication skills, allowing you to communicate effectively with all personnel is essential. You will be a logical, hard-working, "self-starter" with well developed problem solving skills.
In addition, you will be an enthusiastic, well spoken extroverted individual who is comfortable meeting new people. Excellent business acumen will be essential, as will a high degree of professionalism. Occasional travel to job sites or to visit clients is required.
