About the Opportunity

Field Services Coordinator
In this position, you will be bidding and coordinating jobs for the field division.
Some of your specific responsibilities will include:
- Working in a sales capacity for tank and vessel repair enquiries
- Answering customer enquiries and providing quotes and estimates
- Travelling to sites to review repairs and give estimates of new tank construction
- Handling small repair jobs in the field
- Providing takeoffs for field construction quotes and assisting with subcontracts pricing
- Ordering small equipment for field construction and repair jobs
Project Coordinator
You will be responsible for the successful completion of assigned mechanical projects.
In this position, you will be:
- Ensuring the timely and effective completion of all aspects of procurement, fabrication and documentation
- Evaluating project scope and contractual obligations
- Managing project costs, schedules and contracts
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress, status, and costs
- Coordinating the execution of commercial terms and conditions
- Liaising with customers and internal groups
- Identifying project deliverables and ensuring their completion
- Ensuring all project engineering, drafting, and process design work is completed on time and accurately
- Reporting on project milestones for progress invoicing
- Evaluating project specifications and ensuring they are distributed
- Ensuring adequate cost recovery and schedule adjustments are completed
Estimator
The primary purpose of this role is to analyze costs and prepare estimates on prospective mechanical construction projects.
The range of day-to-day duties involved in this position includes:
- Providing technical support and services in the planning, estimating, and measuring of work;
- Preparing accurate estimates and budgets;
- Developing cost summaries, exceptions lists, and price schedules;
- Liaising with customers and vendors;
- Coordinating with estimators and sales from other offices during process of bid; and
- Identifying critical issues that may impact costs.
Do you have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma from an Engineering Technology program? These positions are for you! Please note that it is not essential to have previous work experience. However, experience with tanks, pressure vessels, and piping is desirable.
The successful candidates have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Universal Industries is interested in receiving applications from enthusiastic team players, who have an exceptional mechanical and mathematical aptitude with strong attention to detail. In addition, you have the ability to read and understand drawings and P&IDs. Having excellent organizational skills is required. Ideally, you are proficient with Microsoft Office and are familiar with MS Projects.
