About the Opportunity

ASL Paving is searching for a hard-working, skilled Journeyman/Woman Heavy Duty Mechanic in Lloydminster, AB!

In this lucrative position, you will chiefly be responsible for repairing and servicing heavy trucks, construction equipment, tractors, bulldozers, graders, dump trucks, and excavators.

Using your 5+ years of experience, you can look forward to working on fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, and engine control systems.

To qualify for this role, you will have completed technical training and now possess your Heavy Duty Mechanic trade certification. Also, along with your Class 1 or A Drivers’ License, you have your AZ ticket, and a Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate.

Above all, you are a positive individual who can work independently, or as part of a team. You are a flexible professional who takes pride in your work, and has a second-to-none work ethic. You also have your own tools, and steel toed boots.

Please note that to qualify for this role you must be eligible to work in Canada.

About the Benefits

In return for your dedication and outstanding service, you will be rewarded with competitive wage of $30 - $40/hour commensurate with your qualifications and experience. During the summer months there are plenty of opportunities to earn overtime as well. Our overtime rates are 1.5X rate after 10hrs/day or 80 hrs/pay period (2 weeks) and 2.0X rate after 123 hrs./pay period (2 weeks). During the off-season (November to April) it is typical to maintain a 40 hr work week.
