About the Organisation

Poles and Underground Pty Ltd was formed by the merger of Poles and Underground Electrical Transmission Pty Ltd (PUET) and Clive Palmer Electrical Pty Ltd (CPE) in February 2007.

The combined entity has over 30 years experience in the power construction industry, with the head office in Silverwater, Sydney and a branch office operating on the Central Coast, which services the surrounding regions of Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

With its combined capabilities and employing in excess of 90 trained staff, Poles and Underground can now provide all components of Electrical Network Construction projects associated with distribution and transmission, without the reliance on subcontractors. This gives the company far greater control and flexibility in the delivery of projects and ensures job stability for employees, a service that very few other contractors can offer.

About the Opportunity

Due to expansion, Poles and Underground has an exciting opportunity for a number of energetic Electrical Linesmen to join its talented teams in NSW.

You'll be responsible for day-to-day maintenance and construction of overhead lines on projects in either the Sydney / Central Coast / Hunter Valley depots or on the NSW country region transmission projects.

If you've been working in the Linesman trade, but are still looking for the right company to value your contribution and give you the chance to work your way up within the company, this is the role for you.

Poles and Underground is looking for self-motivated and 'can do' applicants with an impressive background of Linesman experience.

You must hold an Australian Linesman qualification, though the company can help you transfer an equivalent overseas qualification if need be. It is preferred, though not essential, that you have Certificate 3 in Linework, and experience in distribution and transmission. Poles & Underground is an approved business sponsor which means you can transfer your existing 457 work visa to our company.

You'll need to be physically fit, work effectively whether you're unsupervised or part of a team, and will be willing to work overtime or travel when required.
