About the Opportunities
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Laboratory Assistant to work from the Cytogenetics Department in Taringa, Brisbane.
The main aim of this varied role is to perform laboratory and associated functions.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will include:
- Preparing and processing clinical specimens for analysis;
- Reagent maintenance and preparation;
- Slide preparation and staining; and
- Use of aseptic technique.
To be successful in this role, you'll have excellent communication and customer service skills as well as a high attention to detail to enable maximum accuracy of processing. A strong commitment to laboratory turnaround times is essential, with previous relevant laboratory experience highly regarded.
This is a perfect role for an enthusiastic individual who has a flexible approach to their work as you will be required to work rostered shifts.The rotating roster involves shifts between 6am – 7pm including participation in a Saturday roster.
You'll also have the ability to work both autonomously and as a team member in this busy department.
