About the Opportunity
VCI Controls Inc. is seeking a HVAC Controls Technician to join their Toronto team.
Within this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and commissioning heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) computerized equipment.
Working within the service or operations departments, your specific duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Learning preventative maintenance requirements and procedures as outlined in BAS System Manuals;
- Performing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting at the PCU/FID/TUX & Alerton Envision, BCMs, VLCs level;
- Assisting in the commissioning and fine tuning of HVAC control systems;
- Installing VCI & Alerton products;
- Calibration of instruments; and
- Being familiar with documentation for the various systems.
To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 2 years direct experience in Building Automation Systems for HVAC coupled with a mechanical or electrical engineering degree. An electrical, electronic or mechanical control degree will also be considered. GeoExchange experience is ideal.
You must be computer literate with some knowledge of mechanical systems as they relate to direct digital HVAC controls.
VCI Controls Inc. is seeking a hard-working, flexible candidate who is willing to put in the time to get the job done. This role will suit a candidate who is a fast-learner, dedicated to self development and professional growth as there will be many opportunities to complete further training courses and pick up new skills.
This role will involve regular travel with occasional overnight stays. You must have your own car and a valid Canadian driver's license. Plus you'll be prepared to work overtime or weekends as required.
Additionally, you will be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
