About the Opportunity
As a growing company, Kelowna Flightcraft is seeking multiple, full-time AME's to join their busy maintenance facility in Kelowna, BC.
The primary purpose of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer role is to perform line and heavy maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
As a fully licensed maintenance mechanic, and reporting to the Crew Chief, you will:
- Remove and install flight controls, engine components, propellers and more detailed landing gear parts;
- Perform rigging on multiple systems, critical and non-critical systems checks, tow aircrafts, and release aircrafts for flight;
- Complete daily inspections and perform component changes;
- Use your familiarity with functional operations aircrafts to perform run ups from the right and left seats;
- Undertake documentation responsibilities (submitting documentation, and updating maintenance manuals, etc.);
- Apply your thorough understanding of systems like air conditioning, hydraulics, engines, flight controls, landing gear, avionics, electrical generation, oxygen, fuel, and pneumatics on multiple aircrafts; and
- Troubleshoot on assigned jobs including gathering information from customers as required, and generating alternatives to move the project forward.
To quality and succeed in this role, you will need the following requirements:
- Successful completion of apprenticeship training and to have passed the Transport Canada regulatory/maintenance exam(s);
- 1 Type endorsement – ACA;
- Ground Operating License (AVOP’s);
- Radio license; and
- Thorough understanding of Transport Canada regulations.
In addition, successful candidates will have working knowledge of the types of aircrafts supported by Kelowna Flightcraft. Along with your positive attitude and strong work ethic, you are the type of individual who uses your highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail when taking the initiative on projects.
You are able to work effectively both alone, or as part of a team, and you enjoy passing on your knowledge to apprentices in need of training. Importantly, you are a physically fit individual and will need basic computer skills and a familiarity with the Internet. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be paramount to this role.
Please note: You must be able to work rotational shift work.

In exchange for all your hard work and dedication, you will receive a highly competitive salary of $25.76 - $36.52 per hour, and will work 40 hours a week.
