Prolink designs and manufactures oil and gas processing equipment for operation between the wellhead and the pipeline. All products are fabricated to the requirements of ASME, ANSI, CSA and project specific international quality assurance and control specifications as required.

About the Opportunity

Prolink Fabrication Ltd is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. 

In this exciting role, your main responsibility will be to ensure service is provided to all customers based on Prolink's “Commitment to Customers”.  At all times, you will adhere to quality assurance and quality control of all documents and processes to ensure overall client and regulatory satisfaction.

More specifically, you will be required to: 

  • Manage a team of shop floor inspectors and Document Control personnel; 
  • Coordinate and maintain Prolink's Quality Control Program and manuals;
  • Coordinate, compile and file all documents from the various projects; 
  • Ensure that all requirements of the Quality Control Program are completed in a timely manner;
  • Coordinate document and quality control to ensure quality assurance goals are maintained;
  • Assist in determining processes and process improvement;
  • Document processes to ensure overall project(s) consistency;
  • Maintain relationships with 3rd party inspectors;
  • Coordinate all sub contractors for non-destructive examination and post weld heat treatment;
  • Control all welder records & logs; 
  • Provide quality control updates at production meetings as required; and
  • Comply with standards and procedures of the Prolink health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

The shop is open 6 days per week, Monday to Saturday with an occasional Sunday shift. 

The ideal candidate will be a Welding Engineering Technology graduate with ASET registration and CET certification. An ABSA Certified Welding Examiner is preferred. 

Additionally you will have a minimum of 5 years' management experience in ASME Sec VIII Div 1 Pressure Vessels in a shop fabrication environment. 

Advanced knowledge of ASME vessel, piping, welding codes, Quality Control procedures, record-keeping and systems is essential. 

Prolink Fabrication Ltd is seeking a self-starter with intermediate computer skills, MS Office experience and the ability to interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
