About the Opportunity

We are seeking two experienced Mechanical Designers to join our team in Richmond, BC.   

Under the supervision of the Team Lead, you will be responsible for producing manufacturing drawings and Bills of Material using designated CAD software (currently Microstation and Solidworks, but may include Siemens NX in the near future). This will include ensuring drawings adhere to company design standards/guidelines and meet industry and customer specifications. You will also be expected to remain current with company manufacturing processes and product/industry knowledge. 

As our ideal candidate, you have a post-secondary degree/diploma in an appropriate engineering discipline with 3-5 years of manufacturing experience or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience within the track work design field. Proficiency with CAD software such as Microstation and Solidworks is also required.  

Detail oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, you have strong design skills, preferably within a manufacturing environment along with excellent problem-solving abilities.  

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a great team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.  

It would give you a distinct advantage if you have manufacturing and/or railway experience and are familiar with Siemens NX software.  

Please note this role may require some travel and only candidates with at least permanent residency status in Canada will be considered.
