Toolplas is currently seeking an experienced Mold Maker to join our team in Windsor, Ontario.
Do you have machine shop experience and the ambition to take on a supervisor role? This is the perfect opportunity for you!
We are seeking a skilled individual, ideally with injection mold experience, to lead a team of professional mold and tool makers. Reporting to the Plant Manager and liaising with all departments, you will be directly involved in the entire build process, from design and manufacturing, through to shipment.
Working on a variety of mold builds and projects, you will oversee:
- Assembly and disassembly of molds;
- Machining with small manual shop machines; and
- Fitting of components.
In addition, you will also be responsible for scheduling and delegating large workloads and resources in order to meet project deadlines.
As an excellent communicator and team player, you will have the desire and ability to effectively lead and mentor a team.
To succeed in this role, our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in injection mold building. Previous leadership experience is an asset.
With the ability to multi-task and maintain focus across multiple projects, you will also possess excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with computers, including the MS Office Suite and CAD software, is essential.
