Privately owned and operated, KF Aerospace is an industry leading Aviation Company and the largest Commercial AMO in Canada. We operate two full service MRO facilities in Kelowna, BC and Hamilton, ON with two line bases in Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON. Our facilities support Boeing 727, 737, 757, 767, Convair 580, DC10, Dash 8, MD80, Embraer, Buffalo, Twin Otter and other aircraft. We complete over 100 heavy maintenance checks annually for customers like WestJet, Canadian North, DND, and other key Canadian and US carriers. In addition to maintenance checks, we offer major modifications, cargo door installations, AC stretches and conversions. We provide fleet and customer support on location, as well as out-base coverage.
KF Aerospace led an all Canadian Team to bid on the Canadian Forces Contracted Flying Training and Support (CFTS) contract. This included CHL, B&M and Atlantis to provide a turn-key operation for the Canadian Air Force. In 2005 KF Aerospace was awarded the 22 year, $1.8 billion dollar contract as the prime contractor.
As an Approved Training Organization, we offer a variety of type certificate courses, both internally and to a variety of customers around the world. Our ideal candidate for all positions must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic, and be the type of individual who uses his or her highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail when following instructions.
A mechanical aptitude is essential, and you are able to work effectively both alone, or as part of a team, and enjoy learning and growing with the organization. Candidates also need to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have basic computer skills and a familiarity with the Internet. Being physically fit (lifting up to 40lbs) is also paramount to these roles. Candidates must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment and must be able to work rotational shift work, including weekends.
Aircraft Interior Technician
You will be responsible for the removal, installation, inspection and repair of aircraft interiors. You hold or must be committed to obtaining CCAA certification as an Interior Technician.
You will be responsible for the Interior and Exterior cleaning of Company owned and Customer aircraft and components. Industrial cleaning experience would be highly desirable. With KFA experience, Aircraft Detailers can be considered for Aircraft Interior Technician and Aircraft Paint Prepper positions in the future.
Aircraft Paint Prepper
You will responsible for the prepping of the aircraft prior to paint application. This includes the stripping, cleaning, and masking of the aircraft and components. Experience in an autobody shop or completion of an autobody repair course is preferred. Experience in this trade can lead to opportunities to become a certified CCAA Aircraft Painter.
