About the Opportunity
Duo CNC has a full-time opportunity for a Lead Programmer with extensive CAM experience on Mastercam X9 to join our Machine Shop in Langley, BC.
This is a great opportunity for very skilled programmer who is at the top of their game on Mastercam X9, and comfortable working within a team in a positive and constructive manner, capable of completing quick and accurate setups on multiple machines, working to tight tolerances and maintaining ISO quality control procedures
With exceptional programming skills on Mastercam X9 and certification in advanced features such as Surface High Speed, 3-D Surfacing and Dynamic Motion Toolpaths, you will also be skilled at editing G-code on Haas and Okuma machines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as Lead Programmer and setting/running jobs, when necessary;
- Optimizing cycle times and shop floor productivity using advanced programming and setups;
- Scheduling work in conjunction with the Vice President to meet customer deadlines.
- Ensuring that all paperwork is accurately completed for each job, including dimensional inspection reports and work order notes; and
- Working efficiently and keeping work area and shop well organized.
This role is well suited to someone with at least five (5) years of experience working as a Programmer, setting up/programming lathe and milling jobs. A strong work ethic and a positive "can do" attitude will be critical to your success in this role, as will your strong organizational and communication skills.
Finally, with a fine eye for efficiency and detail, you will demonstrate an ability to identify procedures that should be optimized and implement appropriate solutions (multiple part layups, 4th axis tombstone on VMC, shop floor workflow, etc).
