About the Opportunity

Due to an ongoing commitment to growth, IFS Australia now has an exciting opportunity for a Business Consultant with a strong service management focus to join their team based in North Sydney, on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Consulting Manager for your region, you will work within a team of Consultants, primarily responsible for the implementation of IFS Solutions to the agreed scope and deliverables within IFS Australia's customers in the field service and service management industry. Acting as part of a delivery team, you will provide a high quality, fit-for-purpose business process solution that adds value to the client and meets the expectations and standards expected by both IFS and the client. 

Day-to-day this will include (but not be limited to):

  • Planning and executing customer workshops and delivering customer training;
  • Writing of specification documents for modifications and reports; and
  • Understanding, interpreting and developing documentation in relation to the specific business process requirements of the client as it pertains to IFS functionality.

Please note: Intra and inter-state travel is a requirement of this position. 

About You

To be considered for this position you will have at least 3-5 years experience working in a service management, field service management, asset management or functional consulting capacity, with specific industry knowledge of at least one area of IFS.

Applications from Business Analysts and Business Consultants with relevant experience will also be considered. 

You will take a highly professional approach to your work and be comfortable and confident in conducting regular workshops and training sessions with customers to understand their business challenges. You will have commercial acumen to ensure you can provide the best possible solutions on time and within the designated budget, and you will have a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite which you will use regularly at a high-level to produce reports and documentation as required. You will be technically savvy and any SQL Query writing experience would be an advantage.

Importantly, IFS is looking for candidates who have exceptional written and spoken communication skills as well as tenacity, positivity and analytical thinking capabilities and are excited by the idea of working with a group of like-minded individuals to help the business grow and flourish.

This position would be well suited to someone early to mid-career who has experience working in a consulting organisation within the service management area and is looking to cement and grow their career with an industry leader.
