Right now we are investing heavily in our organisation, and our staff. In early 2021 we will be moving our administration staff into a brand new office in Taree South. We are implementing a single integrated enterprise resource planning solution to enable us to realise efficiencies for our staff and community.
Our vision within our Human Resources team is to make our organisation and community a better place by enabling, supporting and empowering our workforce to deliver high-quality outcomes. This position offers an experienced HR professional with an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic and engaged team to build trust and add value across all stakeholders. You will develop a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges within the organisation, using your initiative to drive continuous improvement and development.
The position will require you to support and develop the team across a variety of functions, including but not limited to: provision of general HR advice, job design and evaluation, recruitment and selection, on-boarding and probation, performance improvement, grievances, organisational change, recognition and reward, policy development and review, remuneration systems, conflict resolution, workforce planning and employee separation.
- Degree level qualification in human resources, employment relations, organisational development, business or a similar field
- Experience in a senior human resources role in a complex and diverse organisation
- Experience leading and managing a team with a proven track record of delivering quality outcomes in line with organisational strategy
- Advanced capability in the following areas: Act with Integrity, Community and Customer Focus, Work Collaboratively, Deliver Results, Manage and Develop People
The package: Commencing salary circa $103,000 plus superannuation. Vehicle arrangements will also be discussed with the successful candidate.

Location: Initially this position will be based from Forster. In future, your normal place of work will be the Council Offices at 2 Biripi Way Taree. When the time comes for you to move to Biripi Way, four weeks’ notice will be provided. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent Full Time.
