About the Opportunity
Our client who is based in the healthcare industry is seeking multiple experienced Developers to join their team in downtown Vancouver.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on designing, developing, and implementing applications using .NET custom framework within a team environment.
More specifically your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing applications, frameworks, and solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
- Identifying the policies and requirements that drive solutions.
- Creating, deploying and maintaining .NET-based application Ops environment working with business analysts and other team members.
- Using appropriate procedures and methods to identify and document database content, structure, and application sub-systems and developing a data dictionary.
- Identifying, documenting, and following system-specific standards relating to programming, documentation and testing, covering technical architecture, program libraries, data dictionaries, naming conventions, etc.
- Developing procedures for migrations and upgrades.
- Ensuring the right tools are in place to monitor the production applications to ensure stability, efficiency, and performance.
- Identifying potential risks and problem areas and developing procedures that provide effective solutions or mitigation strategies to work around the problem at hand.
- Analyzing and evaluating alternative technology solutions to meet business problems.
To qualify for this role, you will possess a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or another relevant IT field along with a minimum of 3 years development experience. Knowledge of Health Level 7 (HL7) is an asset.
The ideal candidate for this role will also have:
- Expert knowledge of software system design and development using the Microsoft .NET platform/SQL server management studio.
- Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS).
- Demonstrated development experience with Microsoft.NET Framework, ASP.NET, T_SQL programming, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, SSRS (SSIS/SSAS a plus).
- The ability to design rich web interfaces for internal line of business applications.
- Proficiency in secure code development practices and principles.
- Best practice software development strategies. (Test driven development, continuous integration).
You will also have strong organizational and communication skills, the demonstrated ability to take direction, and work well as a team player.
